4 Hostessing Tips to Make Your Thanksgiving Dinner Fabulous
Put on your hostessing hats ladies, you're hosting Thanksgiving dinner! Planning and hosting a dinner for a large number of people can be stressful, but don't worry we're here to help. With these tips, you'll be able to sit back, relax, and enjoy time with your family and friends.
1. Make things ahead of time - Make your day a little easier by doing and making some things before the big day. Peel and cut up your veggies, and make things that can be frozen and reheated a few days before to ease your workload.
2. Create an hourly schedule - Plan out and write down exactly what needs to be done so your day runs smoothly. What time should the turkey go into the oven? How long will the rolls take? Having everything planned out will mean less stress and more organization.
3. Don't forget the kiddos - Set up a kids table with paper plates and cups to ensure that nothing is broken, and keep them busy with Thanksgiving themed coloring sheets/placemats and crayons so parents can enjoy their yummy meals.
4. Ask for help - Not everyone can be a superhostess, so don't feel like you have to do everything yourself. No one expects you to do it all alone, and almost everyone will be happy to help with anything you need. Designate someone to make drinks, or have everyone make a side to go with your main course.
